Introducing Class Dojo
Wonder how your child is doing in class? Class Dojo monitors, captures, and generates data on student behavior that teachers can share with parents and administrators. It has been a powerful motivator for my class, and a wonderful way to showcase what Room 17 is doing. I invite families in Room 17 to open a free, secure account with Class Dojo to see how your child is doing during the day or over the course of a week.
See or e-mail Ms. Long for a parent code to open an account.

What does Ms. Long and her class do with Class Dojo in the classroom?
Room 17 keeps track of how many points we accrue each month. If the class earns at least 5,350 points by the end of the month, they are awarded 30 minutes of free time. During free time, students are allowed to socialize and talk, free draw, pull out rainy day games such as checkers, puzzles, solitaire, and air hockey.
Here are the possible rewards given for Class Dojo points:
6,350 points: 30 minutes of free time
4,350: 20 minutes of free time
2,000 points by the end of the week: no homework for the entire following week
