Mother's Day Greeting Cards
This was a project I quickly put together in a hurry, and what started out originally in my mind as a simple poetry assignment to practice writing similes turned into a Mother's Day greeting card. Each card was done in a trifold fashion and required a long sheet of white construction paper (8" x 18"), three pieces of construction paper of various colors, and oil pastel. I happened to have some pretty scrapbook paper on hand and found the perfect use for it--cut into small rectangles it served as frames for the children's poems, which were copied onto plain index cards. These poems were then glued to the backs of the white trifold construction paper.
