Birthdays and Parties
In consideration of children with food allergies, and in an effort for us to cut back on unhealthy, sugary treats, Room 17 has a no birthday treats policy. Thank you for respecting this policy.
In lieu of sweet treats, families can bring non-edible treats for the students, such as pencils and erasers. This is a wonderful idea and includes all students, whether they have dietary restrictions or not.
Ms. Long will provide stationery for students to write colorful birthday greetings for the birthday child. We will also take a few minutes to sing to our classmates celebrating birthdays. Ms. Long can also accompany the children's singing of the birthday song on the piano!
Classrooms at Fairburn are allowed two parties each year, not to exceed 30 minutes. We will have one the week before winter break, and another at the end of the year. All parents are invited.
